Background:

The CBTRF Trail Riding School is a multi-venue, multi-trainer centre of excellence within our club. We aim to teach trail riding skills in a supportive and pleasant experience across our three locations with our experienced, ACU-qualified trainers and support team.

We always start by asking you how you want to ride, what your experience is and what skills you want to learn before guiding you through our riding skills syllabus, (which covers Beginners; Intermediate; and TRF Run Leader courses), and helping you enjoy your CBTRF learning day. We have skilled and experienced ACU assessed trainers who are also trained First Aiders to ensure you enjoy a safe and productive training experience.

The overall aim of our training is to enable you to enjoy your hobby, whether you are new to it or an experienced trail rider, and confidently ride trails with the skills to help assure your safety and pleasure.

Below is some of the rider feedback from the last course

  • Very good level of content for a beginner day and laid back feel of the day was superb.
  • It was a really well-thought-out course that built throughout the day. I thought the timings and management of the exercises was excellent, there was a variety of exercises that moved along at a good pace. The tuition was very clear and helpful and pitched well for the riders on the day.
  • I had a fantastic day, my confidence is not fantastic on my bike, so a day like this only helps by getting out of my comfort zone. My confidence grew as the day progressed. Good to also talk to like minded people, something we are all passionate about.
  • Very enjoyable
  • instruction was clear, easy to understand and very well delivered. His descriptions of how to undertake the task were clear and simple and not too techy, and delivered with the confidence to make me feel happy to give it a go!
